Indeed it should be good for some department or perhaps a reserve.
Not too many 71 and 92 DETROIT DIESEL’s anymore. Hard to believe they were pretty much standard equipment at one time.

Nice truck for its age! This truck was built prior to Oshkosh acquiring Pierce. I believe the tower is also a Smeal tower. This truck should serve a smaller department well. I would have liked to see Prospect Heights buy another tower although their leadership has a much higher knowledge level than I for what serves their needs.
