I’m sure this was well thought out and hopefully well inspected before final purchase. I think your going to see a huge increase in purchases like this seeing as most manufacturers have unreasonable construction to delivery times now. And the prices of these rigs are so inflated today that I don’t see how any municipality is paying the prices that are out there.

I was reading the history of the rig, it had major issues with the ladder. Hopefully those issues were fixed before it was sold.

Only has 25000 miles on it, not bad for a 20 year old rig!

Maybe this was an emergency purchase. Perhaps they will order a Rosenbauer to match the Engines purchased in 2021.

Interesting purchase. I hope this rig is in better shape than the 08 Pierce. That’s disappointing that Pierce mixed metals.

The department this came from went with a Pierce RM ladder. I wonder why the change from a mid to rear? Overall the department has a great fleet.

Interesting purchase. The 2008 Pierce Velocity Tower that Bartlett has was in pretty rough shape even when it was 10 years old. The torque box had a lot of corrosion on it and Pierce mixed metals in a few areas causing electrolysis. Granted, Bartlett ran the tower on a lot of EMS runs.
Is this going to be used as a spare or what’s the plan?

Curious as too why they bought it?
