All manufacturers currently have ridiculous wait times. Aurora just got approval for 3 new engines from E-One, estimated delivery time is 3 years. New truck supposedly will take 18 months once it hits the line. Between shut downs, shortages, and staff shortages everyone is behind. Thank c@vid for that.

Must order before June 2023 to avoid delivery delay to 2027? Talk about absolute ridiculousness. I wonder if anybody has gone outside this HGAC consortium to buy apparatus (or tried to,) – “approved by MacQueen”? What’s that infer, a built in extra profit for MacQueen? Where’s the proof that this saves any money?

In any rate, how about the price tag on this rig? Pretty amazing how fire apparatus pricing has gone so high! There is a town in the area with a new rear mount tower with pump who paid $2.2 million! Never thought I’d see fire apparatus pricing like this in my life!

Yes Michael, this will replace Squad 8 the current 08 Spartan. They have had a ton of issues with Squad 9 the E-one.
