Harry,
as I said in my comment 411 is a very tall rig, if you look at my website under Brookfield FD Station 2 you’ll see how small the house is and like I said even if it fits will it even be usable in that space. You’ll see 412 in there as when I visited 421 was temporarily OOS but they are similarly sized and if you look at Sta. 1 you’ll see how big 411 is compared to 419 a decently sized truck CO.

LFD 411 will be moved to Sta. 2 once 419 arrives and the 06 E-one that is currently 421 will become a spare. Another note Sta. 2 is very small I’m wondering if 411 (A very tall rig) will even fit inside the station and if it does will there even be enough room for it to be usable.

Doesn’t Brookfield also have engine 411 at station 1? If so, it was omitted on MABAS Guy’s list.

Hairy, I appreciate your insight and I agree with you! On another note, those older Pierce rigs you mention were built prior to Oshkosh taking over Pierce and destroying the quality Pierce was once known for. I truly believe with my 17 years as an EVT, E-One is probably one of the best apparatus builders.
As I’ve mentioned before, Pierce is about technological advancements and innovation. Sadly, most of their creative ideas, didn’t work out or have been problematic such as the TAK4 Independent Suspension, and the Dash CF where the radiator was located behind the cab or on the body. Don’t get me wrong, I like some of Pierce’s ideas, but the quality just isn’t there.

I also agree with Hairy however I would like to know in detail why he prefers E-One over Pierce. Details please!
