Is Frankfort going to have 2 truck companies?

The big trucks always get big steer tires, especially hundred foot quints with 500 gallon tanks. Not sure about this straight job but the tower ladders usually get something around the 445/65R22.5 tire size range. Of course axle rating has a play in this too.

Speaking of Rosenbauer, any word on how Wheelings Rosenbauer Engine and Tower are holding up?

Some of these rigs have a lot of extra weight in the cab area so you need heavier duty tires. I don’t much care for that look. I always thought it looked out of place for a fire apparatus but perfectly at home for a dump truck or concrete mixer.

The first photo from that angle makes the cab and chassis look massive also are the front tires oversize????
