It’s been a while since I’ve seen a huge heavy rescue squad with pumping capabilities. It reminds me of Prospect Heights’ former Pierce rescue squad pumper which was named Squadzilla and it had that name painted on the rig for all to see. If they want to be clever they might name this rig Squadzilla the 2nd, or Son of Squadzilla.
I wonder if the rig is a little too large for some areas in their district. From some of the above comments it seems that it may replace an engine and a squad. Do they have something that is smaller for tight spaces? Do they provide first responder service? If so, this rig would seem too heavy depending on the frequency of such calls and some areas in their district.

Which engine will this replace? I am guessing it will also replace their squad.

Beautiful monster. Can almost smell the new paint from here.

I especially like the rear ladder for safer access to that hosebed. That would be a terrible slip-and-fall!!

Nice looking engine! What a beast! They are a small department and I am sure they are thinking they might not always have the staff to staff a second rig.

Wow…This is becoming a trend, especially out east where depts. may not be able to get a second rig out the door. They have everything they need and some more. Good luck and enjoy the ride.
