Thank you posting these pictures. I showed them to my grandfather (Joe) this weekend. Looking at them with him sparked a long conversation about the fire fighting days for him as well as remembering all the guys he served with that have since passed. Joe is 93 now and he remembers everything like it was yesterday. Thanks again for posting. If I come across anymore pictures, I will forward them to your site.

I’m pretty sure this fire was at 1918 Cicero Ave on January 7 1988. The fire came in around 5 am. It was a fatal fire and a total of seven were killed. The fire was determined to be arson. The suspects were ultimately arrested. I believe both we’re convicted.
