Does anyone have any idea how the 2018 Pierce is holding up at Engine 4? How is the 2018 E- One doing at Engine 3? I know both of those engines were suppose to be the “test vehicles”

This rig does not have the tak-4…..it has front leafs

I didn’t know that John. But I guess given the cost circumstances, moving to a lower tier chassis isn’t the worst idea. They seem to turn them over less than 15 years now anyway.

Crabby you can spec rear air springs and front leaf springs on a Velocity.
Mike C. Pierce has more body roll as compared to what other manufacturer?

Yes, TAK-4 is a joke. Milwaukee dropped the option on the 2 new Engines recently delivered. The shop staff also stated that it’s a expensive option to maintain. Milwaukee went with the Enforcer chassis. They look like engines that Detroit has. I still don’t quite understand moving the ground ladders to the rear and making a closed compartment for them. But Overall they look pretty cool. John

Crabby – I don’t know the answer to your question but definitely agree that TAK-4 is a joke. Extremely expensive to maintain and definitely not the same independent suspension used on the Oshkosh military vehicles.

Can you spec standard air suspension on the VELOCITY?
I have heard TAK 4 is a joke.

Interesting that the new pumpers are coming from e-one and the truck is pierce..

Is the torque box rusted out yet?
I just had to take a stab at Pierce!
Actually, in my opinion the Velocity pumper is probably one of the nicest rigs I have driven. I’m not all that fond of any Pierce with the TAK 4 and an aerial on top. As goes any rig with an aerial on top, Pierce in particular has more body roll.

Nice rig. Don’t get the black ladder thing, just makes it harder to see, even with lighting.

Very nice looking rig. Love the fact the pump Panel is in a compartment.
