thanks marty while I do like rams I think for ambos ford is the better choice but like u said not in the exact words but if done right they are fine the rams plus the city streets being full of holes don’t help

harry, ambo 55 caught fire. However, the fire was in the box and due to an oxygen leak from what I understand. The damage was to the front of the box by near the K Tank, not the Ram cab or chassis. Ambo 46’s Ram was totaled in a wreck too, leaving 8 in service.
The issue is not so much Dodge Ram but that the city specced and/or accepted them with the wrong suspension system for an ambo. Many departments that have the right suspension use the Rams without these issues.

Harry, NO the Dodges are terrible the city hates them. nothing but problems one even caught fire and burned up. This is a very well thought out and constructed ambulance.

My guess is this will become Medic 64, rotate current M64 to M65, current M65 will now be M64R and the current reserve will be sold.

Nice looking ambulance, I am guessing this will replace the 2012 Ambulance?

Love That red!! UPS delivery trucks in our area of West TN have changed from diesel to gas-burners a number of years ago.

Harry it is gas, like most departments the regeneration requirements on the new diesel motors tend to be a pain for departments. So a lot of them are going to gas
