At one time Division 24 had numerous Snorkels in service. Calumet City, Riverdale, Harvey, Oak Forest, Tinley Park, Homewood, South Holland and Munster.

Ah, I forgot Steger and Riverdale. Thanks

Riverdale had a snorkel as well. Believe they had an 85 footer.
Also South Holland had a snorkel

MABAS 21, throw Steger in the mix. Homewood and Steger had 65-footers, don’t recall Tinley’s, thinking 65, also. Harvey’s was an 85′ with a 1000 gpm pump.

And of course the newer Cincinnati Cab Ex Geneva/Frankfort/Robbins Snorkel.

Never knew Homewood had one of these. Tinley and Harvey had very similar Snorkels.

Those were good chassis for apparatus and they did a good job of distinguishing it from their partner SEAGRAVE.

I believe this snorkel sat in a field with old farm tractors trucks etc across from a farm on route 45 about 5 miles south of Frankfort illinois .I think it’s gone now. It was in rough shape
