Michael, you are correct. In the past, I have seen Palatine’s reserve in service at Rural’s station. More than likely, the EONE is gone now that the new Pierce is in service at 84 and they moved stuff around.

Rolling Meadows still has 2 other ALF apparatus from what I have seen on their Facebook page. They have a reserve engine and the former Quint 15. I don’t know what their plans are as far as keeping each or not.

Isn’t that part of the reason Rural entered into that agreement with Palatine and Rolling Meadows was to share resources including apparatus. If the KME broke down, maybe they would have to borrow a reserve from Palatine? I believe with Palatine’s new Pierce the 07 is now their reserve and they disposed of the E-One.

The Rolling Meadows ALF is still currently first out, I believe, but I am guessing that will change once the new truck/quint goes in service.
The Palatine Rural KME is still first out. They only have one true engine; they don’t have a reserve. They have a tender, but I don’t think it has any hose (or very little) on it.
The current AH tower ladder was made black over red.

I’m surprised the Rolling Meadows ALF and Inverness KME is still alive! Are these reserve engines?
Was the Arlington Height tower ladder originally painted the black/red or was this done after the fact? Looks good!
I have to say I was hoping Spartan would continue their own tower ladder. That’s a really nice design that Palatine has! I understand Spartan’s logic after they purchased LTI and Smeal. Spartan has a very broad range of aerials to choose from.
