  Cmk420- you’re close, this will become Engine 21. The current Engine 21 will be sold. Engine 20 is going to get the frame and body supports repaired and Engine 23 will remain the same. The current Engine 21 costs the most in repairs, so it will be the one to go.

  Agreed; this is a big change for Bloomingdale. Very interested in in seeing the final product. Since Bloomingdale only runs one true front-line engine, my guess is this becomes the new Engine 21, then rotate the current E21 to E20, the current E20 goes to E23 as a backup to the tower ladder, and the current E23 (the last of the “smaller size” Pierce engines) will be sold, if it hasn’t already happened.

  Another Sutphen in Dupage County. Seems liked they’re making quite an appearance lately. Speaking of which, does anyone have an update on the progress of Argonnes pumper?

  Sutphen makes a very fine piece of apparatus. This is a substantial upgrade from Pierce!

  well I think that is a great choice and very unique choice for this area sutphen makes great rigs I have heard sutphen aerials are the safest in the business and I heard this from a battalion chief in Wisconsin

  Interesting how they started moving away from Pierce in 2015 with the tower ladder now they have gone with Sutphen. This also looks like more of a traditional pumper as oposed to the Rescue-Engines they have now. My guess is this engine will have the battery operated cutters and spreaders and not a hydraulic reel like the current engines. It also says that this will be a stainless steel engine which I am guessing they hope will last longer.
