In addition to Mike Summa’s photo of the Riverdale Fire Departments FWD engine they also ran this 1965 FWD/Pierce 85′ Snorkel. If you look closely at Mikes photo you can see the boom of this rig inside the station.

I thought the 85′ snorkel had dual rear axles. I thought 75′ was the max for the single axle trucks?

You can’t beat the look of SNORKEL.
FWD had the advantage or being partnered with SEAGRAVE just about forever.
