Just going to throw this out there, but why didn’t EC donate one or both of their ALFs to Gary? Lord knows they desperately need any help they can get!

One of the 2007 Alfs was sold to Hamlet, IN. It had a generator issue, but other than that it was in good shape.

The 2000 ALF’s are up for sale/were to be sold (these are the CFD clones not taken by Chicago). The ALF/Medic Master was supposed to be sold. I don’t know if they are selling the two newer Eagles or the older Pierce engines. The tower will show up next year.

East Chicago had some things up for sale. I remember seeing them on surplus site.

Thanks Matt for the update. Do you know if East Chicago is keeping the ALF engines for reserves or disposing them since the current reserves are the late 90’s white/red Pierce Sabers? They are still expecting delivery of their new Pierce tower ladder also?

They have two black over red Pierce’s in Service now; they have this engine and another identical engine being delivered shortly. They previously had 4 American LaFrance Eagles which where black over red as well.
The Pierce’s will be very similar other than the new Saber cabs on the new orders.

Other than the unpainted roll-up doors, sharp looking rig. Similar stripe and gold Maltese Cross as Pleasantview’s. Is this their 3rd or 4th new black over red engine? Also what kind of lightbar is that?
