This from Mike Summa:
Hello,With Midlothian’s rescue truck up for sale, I submit the truck that was replaced by the 1997 Pierce. It is a late 1960s IHC/Pierce. If I am wrong, please feel free to share information about it. Enjoy!–Mike S.

Although not really a fan of commercial chassis apparatus, those old IH LOADSTAR’s were as tough as a bad well done steak. They seemed to outlast their comparable competitors. Most school bus operators specified these chassis regardless of body builders just because they had among other things better engines, better warranty, and service support. Don’t see many of this vintage(60’s into the 70’s these days but when you do, they still do the job.
