Went to high school at Quigley North, at Chestnut and Rush.My bus came down Michigan, just as 98 was pulling up. You could see a very light haze in the hall as we went by. Beginning of second or third period, one of the priests came in and said he’d been watching “the big fire on Michigan”. Our class was held on the street that day. As we got to Michigan, the engines were lined up 2 and 3 abreast down the middle of Michigan and the building was rolling. That picture of Big Mo, is taken about where we were standing.
