I hope this is true but the squads on a pierce quantum chassis would’ve looked better

All the bad blood between the city and Rosenbauer aside (which i find hard to swallow) i find it hard to believe they’re going develop a new “snorkel” type unit by October not to mention the legal issues I’d think they’d face from Smeal. All of that is aside from the redesign required on the “snorkel” rigs to get the required seating.

Rusty thanks for the info! Almost unbelievable to hear that after so many problems Rosenbauer is building the rigs again, I’m really curious on the first pics.

If true, that’s too bad. Would have been nice to see the first Snorkel’s out of Smeal headed to Chicago

David I have a very reliable source. There were some hangups from Fleet on some things but all of that is ironed out. They are going to be very nice trucks. They will be on the RBM Commander Chassis and they will be delivered late October or Early November 2015.

Nice Photos Josh! Has anyone heard anything about the squads since the deal with Rosenbauer fell apart? The City desperately needs new squads just like they need new tower ladders.
