I too doubt that it refers to a gang but it really does not matter what one of us thinks. It matters what the public may think or assume.

I highly doubt it refers to a gang, … Why would Chicago Firefighters at a busy house, would put a name of a gang on a house patch

“Blackstone” refers to the north/south street that is located near the firehouse.

I am not sure what the intended reference is using that moniker but a simple Google search would remind some of us and educate others as to who originally used this name and its history. I for one would not want to associate myself with that history.
