This from Niko Stefani:
On 9/4/14 the Libertyville Fire Department was doing training with neighboring departments at 2000 N. Milwaukee Ave. In Libertyville IL. When the training session was over, the departments left to go on with the day. Later in the day there was a reported fire in the same place where the training was done. The fire had reignited and caused the first floor of the building to collapse. Libertyville pulled M.A.B.A.S Box 46-49 to the box alarm level for a structure fire. The alarm was then upgraded to the 2nd alarm for tenders only. Tender operations were utilized. Crews remained working and they Struck out the box. Here are some Photos I took when I arrived at the scene.

K: they wanted to make sure the mobile trailers on the side were protected and the forest preserve was getting a little worried so they pulled a box and wanted to get it out right away so they weren’t there all night they were doing training there earlier in the morning

Why did they pull a box? and a tender box? Why tie up that many resources for something they were going to burn down anyways… Keep 3 engines and maybe 1 tender and protect the exposures and enjoy the show!
