I don’t know anything about what Itasca ordered except its an engine from pierce. Back to Addison, as of today. Station 2 has an engine and a medic, station 3 now has 2 quints and a medic running 1 as truck, 1 as engine and station 1 has one engine, medic and battalion. The other new quint is not in service yet and the old engine that was at station 2 I think is at the college of dupage until sold. Thanks all I know but I will pass along anything else I can dig up.

Is there still a Quint at Addison Station 1? Is that the Engine Tim referred to? Also do you have any idea what Chassis Itasca went with for their new Pierce Engine? Will it be like the old 821 on a Saber Chassis? When will it be complete?

So Addison would have 2 engines, 1 older engine at station 2 is for sale on bpapparatus.com and once that is sold I heard that station man power will be moved around. I assume station 1 will be engine, medic, battalion chief, station 2 will be medic/jump quint and station 3 would remain engine, medic and truck company. Oh while were at it even know its not on this post, Itasca 822 was sold and they ordered a new pierce engine. Once they receive the new engine 821 has been sold as well.

Thanks for the updates on Addison–again, just curious about it. So, if they run all the quints first-due, how many engines will they have in reserve?
Brian–In regards to the staffing question, my information might be a little outdated, but I do remember that they used to run an engine, ambulance & B/C out of 71; I think it’s a jump company (Engine/ambulance) out of 72; and 73 had engine/ambulance/truck (quint). Again, it might be a little outdated.

Will the engine and quints are stations 1 and 3 be staffed or jump companies? I dont know addisons staffing

The quint at Addison station 3 “73” runs as the truck company. Addison just took delivery of two additional brand new quint’s that look like 73. From what I hear each station is going to have a quint but as of now they have not been put into service just yet. When all said and done station 1 and 3 will have 1 engine, 1 medic and 1 quint. Station 2 will have a quint, ambulance.

So does the Quint at Station 73 (former Station 3) run as a “stand alone” Quint or is it actually running as a Truck company. And now since that the Tower Ladder was sold I take that the Quint would now be Addison’s only “Truck Company”?

In regards to Addison, they now go by station 71, 72 and 73. The quint should be at station 73 and no longer at 71. Also the tower ladder was sold at 73 and the reserve ambulance at 71 is actually the same as the one at 73 where it is stationed. Addison only has 1 reserve ambulance and 3 in full service. Keep up the good work with the site.

Good updates–Just a quick question with regards to Addison. Station 1 is now numbered as Station 73 when, to my knowledge (as well as listening to the scanners), it should be Station 71. One of the scanner databases shows everything with just a “7” in front of it; no complete renumbering. Is there some misinformation out there?
