I’m all for a good time and firefighting comraderie is unique and a major reason why people want to be firefighters, but … here’s a good safety and legal suggestion for all fire departments – no photography allowed during live burn training! If anything was to happen, you can be sure the photos will be used in a lawsuit and subject to so much negative spin you would not believe you were at the same event. It would also send the right message to the participant: this is dangerous and FFs have died doing this.
Check the Illinois Fire Service Institute memoral page some day. You will be sadly surprised how many times it happend.
