A Daily Herald article on the fire:

A fire left five Streamwood townhouses uninhabitable Sunday night, authorities said.

The first arriving firefighters found heavy fire showing on the second-floor, rear deck of the building on the 0-100 block of Adams Court, the Streamwood Fire Department said in a news release. A box alarm was called to bring in additional manpower and resources for a fire that extended into the unit’s attic, Streamwood Battalion Chief Bob Wysong said. Two units were heavily damaged, as well as the building’s exterior. Streamwood fire officials pegged the cost of the damage at $200,000.
