  As well as the E-Ones have held up over the years, hope that the next Tower Ladder order goes back to them.

  Frenchy, all the 1985 E-ONE & 1988 E-ONE towers are still around and in use. The 1988 E-One that was at OHare was sitting outside at the burn pit in pretty bad shape and I doubt it was being used for a reserve anymore.

  E-248 to E-253 are the 1985 E-One towers
  E-263 to E-265 are the 1988 E-One towers

  All are spares except for E-265 which was reassigned to TL34
  The pirsch truck (E-262) is at a off site storage building and is used as a spare truck at the academy.

  Drew G, thanks for the info, any idea what happened to E-249 and E-253? Also, any idea what happened to the 1988 E-One that was used at O’ Hare?

  E248, E250, E251, E252 are still in service as spare towers. The third ’88 E-One Tower is E264 and is a spare as well.

  Some questions regarding some of the older ladder trucks in the fleet…

  Curious to know how many of the 6 1985 E-One towers are still on the roster like E251 pictured here?

  Also I know that TL34 is re-using their 1988 model, three were delivered with one going to O’ Hare, is that one still around or has it been disposed of? What about the 3rd one that was part of that order?

  Lastly anyone know where the old academy Pirsch ladder is at, no evidence that is has been disposed of from what I can see but with the Pierce and now the Crimson assigned there is obviously no need for it
