House fire in Prairie View 3-7-13

The Lincolnshire Riverwoods FPD received calls reporting a house fire on Thursday at 23262 Apple Hill Lane in Prairie View, just west of Stevenson High School. Several people were reported trapped on a rear balcony. First arriving companies reported a well-involved two-story house, and found five people on the balcony. All were rescued via ground ladders and the fire was knocked within a half hour. Two dogs perished in the fire.

Tim Olk submitted several images from the scene.
