The Countryside FPD responded to a house fire at 25380 Marilyn Lane in unincorporated Lake County after 1AM on Saturday after neighbors reported the fire. First arriving units found heavy fire on the outside of the home where the wooden deck meets the house, and the fire was beginning to communicate into the house.  The alarm was upgraded to a MABAS Box Alarm.

Countryside units made quick work of hitting the fire before it was able to spread very far, and mutual aid companies largely assisted with overhaul. Fire departments assisting at the scene were Lake Zurich, Mundelein, Libertyville, Buffalo Grove, Lincolnshire-Riverwoods, Long Grove, Knollwood, Gurnee, and Lake Zurich.

Larry Shapiro went to the scene and arrived after the fire was out, and submitted several images.
