The Huntley Fire Protection District was the recipient of more than $1 million in federal funding as part of the Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response – or SAFER – program to ensure area fire departments meet their staffing needs.
The funds were made available by the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Assistance to Firefighters Grant.
