I emailed Deputy Chief Steven Gorsky of the Darien-Woodridge Fire District about information about the new 2016 Pierce Impel engine to replace the current 2001 E-one Cyclone II engine running as Engine 90. Here is the final report on the new engine.

Darien Woodridge FPD orders new engine

Darien-Woodridge Fire Protection District has ordered a new pumper. It is a Pierce Impel with a top-mount pump panel. It will have a 1,500-gpm pump and 750-gallon tank. The expected delivery is November 2016.

Car fire on I-355 near Bolingbrook, 7-18-15

This from Dan McInerney:

Bolingbrook had an auto Saturday (7/18715) on the northbound 355, just south of Boughton. BLBK E3 and M3 were first in. DAWD E90 and M90 also responded but were like, meh, the fire is out, so they stood by and assisted where needed. Battalions from both departments responded as well. Fire was in a late model Dodge Neon 4-door.

Tri-State FPD house fire

Hey guys,

I was in the area on Saturday 9/21 when Tri-State got toned out for a house fire in the 7100 block of Beechnut Lane in Darien. Got on scene shortly after the Full Still companies arrived on scene. Tower 529 laddered the roof and Engine 541 hit a hydrant. Small fire, not much to see except rig shots, but thought it would be interesting to send in based on the recent developments concerning the District. Thanks again.

As of Thursday morning 8/22/13 at 10am the Darien-Woodridge Fire Protection District switched over to the DuComm CAD standardization numbering system for stations and apparatus.

Darien Woodridge FPD have taken delivery of the two new Ford F450 – Medtec ambulances. Medic 89 and 90 are expected to go in service closer to Christmas. They carry Pierce job # 25633 -01 and 02
