 Chicagoland Emergency Vehicle Show

The Chicagoland Emergency Vehicle Show is a fun, family event that is free to the public. It is a great day for photos and public education about emergency vehicles and the public safety professionals who operate them. It’s the Midwest?’s largest public emergency vehicle show with around 200 different types of emergency vehicles visiting North Aurora for the weekend events.

There will be a Kane Co Sheriff SWAT demo, North Aurora FD/O’Hare Towing heavy rescue crash extrication demo, an emergency vehicle obstacle course (EVOC), Aurora Regional Fire Museum hand-pumper and antique fire engine pumping demo, vehicle tours including Will Co EMA’s new mobile command post, CBS2 Chopper 2, plus top notch antique safety equipment vendors, fire engine rides, food, and much more.

2012 is our 15th Anniversary year and we are pleased to be returning to our original North Aurora show grounds at Pentair Water and Oberweis Dairy near I-88 and Randall Rd. Government agencies, museums, companies, manufacturers, and private collectors are all welcome to display their emergency vehicles. It is not too late to register and while we prefer pre-registration, day-of-show registration is welcome and free this year.

Please join us for the parade Friday, August 3rd, and the big show on Saturday, August 4th!

The parade begins at 7 pm sharp and arrives to kick-off the North Aurora Days festival at Clocktower Plaza at Oak St. and Randall Rd., North Aurora, IL. At the end of the parade route our emergency vehicles are staged together at their Car, Truck & Motorcycle Show. For the past 3 years they have been a wonderful host and really value our participation. They even shifted their date back a week this year so that we could continue to participate. The event funds their police Explorer program which we collect a donation for.
