This from Drew Gresik about the new ambulance coming to the Brookfield Zoo

Hello,
I saw that you guys were looking for a photo of the Brookfield Zoo Ambulance.  Here’s how it works at the Zoo. The Chicago Zoological Society (CZS), which is overseen by the Cook County Forest Preserve District, runs Brookfield Zoo. The CZS has fully functioning and State of Illinois licensed police officers who handle money and protect the zoo property. All officers are state licensed EMTs and each police vehicle has a first responder bag. Currently, there are 6 police vehicles and 1 ambulance. The ambulance is housed at the zoo’s PD station in its own bay. When an ambulance call comes in, an officer will respond Code 3 through the zoo to the scene and another will go get the ambo. If transport is necessary, they will respond to the hospital, most often Loyola (right up 1st Avenue). It is a 1997 Ford E-450/Wheeled Coach BLS Ambulance. Hope this clears things up!
Thanks,
Drew Gresik
