More photos of the Commercial fire in Chicago, 3-3-21
From Chi-Town Fire Photos:
Wednesday we were out on the south side when we heard Battalion 19 reporting a fire @ 61st and Halsted. First-in companies had smoke from the roof of a 1-sty strip mall, 50×150′. Engine 116 had two lines lead out and Truck 51 was up cutting some holes. Fast changing fire conditions forced Battalion 19 to pull everyone out and go defensive which brought the Still & Box. In total, there were 4 lines led out by Engines 116 & 84. Squad 5 Snorkel and TL 39 went to work with their master streams to knock down the bulk of the fire.
Here are a few photos from the still and box alarm at 61st and Halsted Wednesday afternoon. We happened to be at 47th and Halsted when the 19th Battalion pulled up with smoke showing from the roof of a strip mall.More photos of the fire located in this link:

Here are still images and link to the video for the drone shoot at old Truck 51 “Castle in the Ghetto.” This is/was in my opinion the most beautiful house in the entire CFDSteve

This from Steve Redick:
Took in this job at 6119 S Wolcott from an immense distance away and arrived just as the master streams were setting up. Very cold, single digits. Hoarder conditions forced an early shift to defensive mode. TL39 used some creative apparatus placement to get their master stream in service. Here’s a few images, not really spectacular but some good gritty firefighting images. All the images and a video can be seen here:Happy new year to all.

Hello,This is a Chicago ladder truck, taken around 1975, at a parade in Posen. Yes, Posen. I didn’t know that Chicago would stray that far to participate in a suburban parade. It was a surprise to see it with all the south-suburban trucks. Please feel free to add any details/information.Happy Fourth of July,–Mike Summa

This from Drew Gresik:
The Chicago Fire Department Englewood Fire Alarm Office received multiple calls for a fire at 57th and Peoria around 11:30 PM (5/15/16). Englewood FAO started in a working fire response. Engine 50 arrived first in and reported they had a 2-story, ordinary, vacant 25×50 with heavy fire on two and in the rear. Squad 5 then called Battalion 6 who was still en route to the scene, and advised that the heavy fire was now getting into the Side D exposure, which was a similarly-constructed building. Battalion 6 requested a Still & Box as companies pulled out to go defensive. Four lines were led out on an exterior attack. Truck 51 was moved from Side A for Tower 39 to take the front and utilize their aerial master stream. Companies on scene: E50 E84 E116 E54 T51 T18 TL39 BN6 Sq5 2-7-4 RIT BN19 T20 BN5 BN15 2-2-1 A1 A49 4-5-5 4-5-8.
