12/11/17 YORKVILLE – Bristol-Kendall FPD Car vs. Semi Crash w/ Entrapment & Lifestar Medevac Rt. 47 and Galena Rd. – Video by Dave Weaver
INFO: Bristol-Kendall Fire Protection District crews extricated a man from a PT Cruiser that was slammed into a guardrail by a semi. The man was airlifted by Lifestar helicopter. The semi driver was cited for running a red light. This intersection is just south of the scene of a head-on crash which occurred two days prior on 12/9/17.Report by WPSY News:

Looking back this is supposed to be a Saber 1250/1000 They ordered 2.
The following information comes to us from Keith Grzadziel, a full-time Firefighter/Paramedic with the Bridgeview Fire Department.
- Berwyn Fire Department has ordered a Pierce PUC, 100′ medium duty aerial quint, with a Velocity cab/chassis. It will have a 1,500-gpm pump, 300-gallon tank, and powered by a Cummins ISX 500hp
- Geneva Fire Department has ordered a Pierce rescue pumper with an Impel cab/chassis, a 1,500-gpm pump, 500 gallons of water and a Cummins ISL 450hp
- Bristol-Kendall FPD has two – Pierce CAFS pumpers on order with Saber cab/chassis, 1,250-gpm pumps, 1,000-gallon tanks and also Cummins ISL 450hp engines
