On Monday, the Village of Villa Park celebrated our inaugural push-in ceremony for our newest fire engine. This fire service tradition dates back to the 1800’s when crews returned from calls on horse-drawn equipment and firefighters had to remove the horses and push the equipment back into the bay. Engine 81 is a 2023 Impel Fire Engine and will replace the 26 year old Emergency One Engine 80. Give us a shout if you spot Engine 81 around town!
