Excerpts from abc7chicago.com:
Questions remain after a mother from Rolling Meadows and five children were killed in a fiery crash on I-90 in McHenry County Sunday. That sole survivor, 32-year-old Thomas Dobosz remains hospitalized at Loyola University Medical Center after losing his wife and all of his children in the crash.
Investigators said just after 2 a.m. Sunday, Dobosz was driving westbound on I-90 near Hampshire in a Chevy van when 22-year-old Jennifer Fernandes of Carpentersville collided with Dobosz’s vehicle head on. Both cars became totally engulfed in flames.
Troopers said they found Fernandes dead on scene as well as all of Dobosz’s passengers, identified as 31-year-old Lauren Dobosz and five children: two 13-year-old girls, 7- and 6-year-old boys, and a 5-year-old girl.
State Police are still trying to figure out why Fernandes was going the wrong way.
The fatal crash also caused another collision when a semi-truck stopped to let a medical helicopter land and a second semi rear ended it. The trailer on one of them was torn open and the boxes inside scattered on the roadway. One person had minor injuries from the second crash.

Harry, the father died from his injuries this morning. And if both vehicles are traveling at a high rate of speed and the lighting in that area isn’t good I doubt he had very much time to react. And if you ever studied drunk driving and behaviors you’ll know that usually and impaired driver, if the driver of the Acura was, usually follow the on coming headlights same as when they follow emergency lights and run into apparatus. Just please do us all a favor because this was a terrible accident for his family and just STFU on this one.

Harry, STOP. Just stop this already. What you just implied is if they were at home, they would be alive. If you bothered to actually read the stories about it, you would know why they were driving at night. And there is nothing wrong driving at night, I’ve driven through the night. Also the whole “nothing good happens after midnight” is a saying for bars and clubs, not driving. There is a very good chance the person who hit them didn’t have headlights on, as that is common in these types of accidents. So stop trying blame the victims, which is what you have done in every post you made, regardless if you mean it that way or not.

This whole situation is so devastating! Then you have the Monday morning, quarterback Harry sharing an uneducated point of view! So what Harry is saying is, the poor innocent victims should have been looking ahead, and they could have gotten out of the way? I don’t think anyone driving on the expressway, highway, tollway or freeway would be expecting a wrong way driver heading towards them?! Harry, hopefully when your new Ford Ranger arrives, you’ll get in it and stay off your computer!! Better yet, you’ll ride off into the sunset! Actually, head to Florida to watch the sunset. Maybe you can go be an advisor to Palm Gardens!!!
