The box is a Medtec so most likely it is a remount.

Saw an update on their Facebook page on Friday. It is closer to completion. It is a Ford chassis, unknown what series model it is.

They still do not have approval from IDPH to run their own transport ambulance. Sounds like a waste of money to buy a new ambulance that can’t transport patients.

What is the chassis manufacturer looks like chevy? I heard the mini pumper was turned into a plow truck I hope this vehicle doesn’t meet the same fate

They have been trying to become BLS transport for years but have always failed something. So I would assume they are trying out equipment in case somehow they become BLS

Robbins DOES NOT transport. They only use it to drive to ambulance to ambulance calls and the buds transports. They mainly use it to drive to crestwood for food.

I was working in Robbins for a couple of weeks in June. They still have the ex Orland ambulance. It seems they only drive it around for whatever. Buds was taking ems calls in Robbins. There was a few car accidents at 135 & Kedzie, a Robbins engine & Buds ambulance was on scene.

Yes you’re right they did get an old Orland ambo (just like Blue island and Dolton). I may have been thinking of Dolton who got an Orland ambo and didn’t run their own ambulance. Rumor was Dolton sold it after it was donated to them, but could never confirm that rumor.

Tim–Robbins did/does have an ambulance (2992). I believe they got it used from Orland Park several years ago, but it has been out of service more often than in service due to various issues.
