Here is a drawing for the new engine for Bridgeview FD
From Keith Grzadziel:
This E-One Cyclone pumper was ordered in early 2022. It was listed as a Typhoon previously. Capacities are 1500/780. We will get rid of our spare, Engine 415, the 1986 Hendrickson/KME/Darley, and Engine 405 will become a reserve.Bringing back department tradition, I will be using a previous engine number from the past.

Nice looking unit. What I like is the short wheelbase, 888 light, ample hose bed capacity (one does not have to use it all, but its good to have the option), Hi-Viz scene lighting, raised roof, low hosebed height. Commitee did a good job spec’ing it out. would like to see grab handles on the front so guys arent pulling on the wipers when climbing on the bumper.

Wayne, the former Nottingham Park fire station is at 73rd St & Nottingham Ave. A second floor addition was built above the office area. It is a private residence with a huge shop/ garage now.

Thanks Chief for the info on Nottingham Park that’s a surprise of the 2 Seagrave engines I had known about the International Howe I grew up in Palos Heights so I followed all the depts around there and remember going by their station while they were still in operation. Also back then I had a scanner and cook county sheriff’s were always be called to their firehouse because of young vandals doing damage to the building…….

John Keller, a few corrections to your lineup:
Car 400 is the previous Batt 40
Car 401 is the Chief’s current buggy
Engine 416 has a 1000 gal booster tank
Amb 412 is the 2012 F-450/Wheeled Coach (x-406)
Amb 409 is a 2007 F-350/Road Rescue (x-Homer FPD)
Brush 407 is 50/100
Mike Hellmuth, We are completely surrounded by truck companies, so it is not necessary to have one; especially with cost and maintenance. On a reported structure fire response we receive 2 auto aid truck companies. They are prearranged and geographically based.
As far as the former Nottingham Park FPD goes, when the district disbanded Bridgeview assumed the responsibility for fire protection and EMS. Nottingham Park had 2 Seagrave engines that both went to Bedford Park since they annexed a large portion of the former district. The engines were 707 and 710. Bridgeview took possession of the station and several other vehicles which were an International/Howe engine, a Ford LTD station wagon and a Ford Econoline van.
In addition to the E-One engine ordered, we have a Ford F-450/Wheeled Coach ambulance ordered and will be having an Alexis Medworks remount completed on Ambulance 417.

Chief I was wondering how you’re able to run without a truck co? Is it because
of the auto aid with Bedford park Central Stickney and burbank? Also is it
true that Nottingham Park had ordered a new Seagrave engine before they disbanded and that engine wound up.being Bedford Park engine 708?
Any info would be helpful thanks…..
