This from Colton Latham:

New Lenox Fire Protection District Truck 61 has been out of service for a few months now waiting for parts. In the meantime, New Lenox has been using their new-to-them engine. It is a 2006 Pierce Enforcer and was formerly Manhattan Fire Protection District Engine 81. New Lenox purchased it from Manhattan around July of 2022. It is now the current frontline out of station 61 and will possibly be the reserve engine.

In other New Lenox news, the Sutphen engine that was at 63 is being torn apart and has been sold to a private buyer. This engine was formerly a demo unit used by the Chicagoland Motor Speedway and was then purchased by New Lenox. According to some of the firefighters, it worked well but had awful suspension. It will be gone by the end of 2023.
