If you are matching an OEM chassis color, ambulance manufacturers generally don’t charge an exorbitant amount of money to paint the body a single color (other than White) to match. It has to be painted anyway. Might see an additional upcharge for some metallic paints though. Of course, custom paint schemes can be costly.

FFPM571 – I think painting an ambulance a custom color is more than $1,000 extra unless the cab is left the factory color which is normally white. Painting the cab requires quite a bit of extra labor removing handles, headlights, etc.

Mike.. when spending $200 K on an ambulance the $1000 for a half red and white rig is negligible. Also now days some are even wrapped in Vinyl which is even cheaper…

FFpm571 ambulances are so expensive now everyone is looking at ways to save money. All white is cheaper then red.
