If you were to examine our two current engines, both built by Alexis Fire Equipment, you would see that this engine is substantially similar to those two engines. We opted to create a compartment between the cab and the pump enclosure to promote the clean cab concept but also to save substantial money as this was quite a bit less than having storage as part of the cab. Other than that, this engine becomes our third with the oldest one being a 2001. The 2001 and the 2008 have served us well and have virtually zero Alexis problems.
If someone’s justification for purchase of an engine is “this is how everyone else does it” then have they truly analyzed their operation and needs? We have over the last 20 years and that’s why these three engines are what they are.

Craig,
Can you please clarify what you mean by “looks like they’re tryin to reinvent the wheel with this one?”
Thanks!
