Not a common chassis for sure but a few rescues were built on the Midliner Chassis. Westmont had an engine built on this chassis as well. CALFIRE later bought a number of TYPE 3 wildland engines which were set-up with crew cabs.

I remember and still have that brochure buried somewhere in the basement . Come to think about it, I wonder how many apparatus were actually built on that chassis. I don’t think I ever saw one until this post.

Not a very common rig, at least in the US. Although there was a Mack brochure for an MS200/300 fire chassis. Did better in Europe,where it was branded Renault or Magirus. The commercial versions sold fairly well here for a couple of years,though. They weren’t an awful truck or anything,but could not replace the Ford C. But then Ford would replace the C cab with the Brazilian CF model,and it did not do well.
