  Did EPFD get Engine 48 back from River Grove?

  EPFD has 3 engines, 49, 50 and 51. 51 is a 2014; 49 and 50 were delivered in 2000. Pictures are on this site.

  77 was the first city Co. that I rode with back in the day. Cool guys with laid back attitudes that didn’t “big time” us. Wish they were still open.

  Engine #50 will be replaced.

  Estimated completion date of the Rosenbauer Squad is March 2019.

  Which engine is this replacing? Also any word on the delivery of the new Snorkel Squad 3?

  The back up Engine is parked behind the command van.

  It is indeed a tribute to the members who were assigned to 1224 S. Komensky Ave., the life lessons and mentoring they provided over the years.

  The chief does not care for the raised roofs.

  Thanks, we think it’s a nice looking Engine as well..

  I now drive by the EP station, almost every day, and wonder why I only see one engine (51) in there. Don’t they have a backup rig? Or is it OOS or being used by the production people at “Chicago Fire”?

  Maybe its a tribute to the long dis-banded west side Engine Co. I am wondering why no raised roof in the jump seat area. Chicago has it on all their new rigs and lot of EPFD guys are city guys, so it surprises me. Otherwise, it looks great.
