That’s true the current description of the Carol Stream engine does not say Rescue Pumper. However I know that the current rescue-pumper is a 2006 model. We will see I guess which one it is.

I am up in the air about the Carol Stream engine. I think their only reserve engine is older than usual; so, my thought is that they will replace Engine 29 and make the current one a reserve. I am not sure how old Squad 27 is. The description of the new engine does not say it is a rescue pumper, so that how I am basing my thoughts.
Probably a good guess that the new RM quint will go to 15 because Engine 16 is in a new rig already.

Rolling Meadows is replacing both stations

My guess is the quint for Elk Grove will be for the new fire station. I did see where they are building the new combination station for stations 8 and 9. According to the sign in front of the property it is going to be the new Station 8.
I am sure if that is the case they are going to run a engine, quint and ambulance out of the new station.

I wonder which station Rolling Meadows will place the quint at. Maybe station 15? Are there still plans in the works to replace both Rolling Meadows fire stations?
Where will the new Carol Stream Pumper be assigned? My guess is since Engine 29 is only 6 or 7 years old, this engine will replace the engine of Squad 27.
