Thanks for the information Chuck. This really must be a big project if the truck has been gone for a month. This evening I heard a still alarm for a burning gas meter in an apartment building on the 4900 block of North Sacramento. They dispatched Truck 13 who normally wouldn’t be sent there so apparently Truck 38 is still at Engine 108’s house.
That’s bad news about Truck 23 being without a tower ladder. That means all of the spare tower ladders are being used. I wonder how many spares they still have as I know that a few of the 1985 E-Ones have been sold or scrapped.
I assume that the 1988 E-One (the one with Corrie Ankum’s name on it) is still around. And they would still have two of the 1996 HME/LTIs which were assigned to Tower Ladder 37 and 39.

Truck 38 has been at 108 for every bit of a month now, if not longer. They probably have NOT revised the still district for Truck 38 – the OEMC is probably (hopefully,) working on the fly when it comes to working around Truck 38’s relocation. And Truck 23 was NOT in a tower as of last week.

I noticed that Truck 38 was the RIT truck at that fire and there are a few trucks that are normally closer to the location than Truck 38. I was then told that Truck 38 was at Engine 108 and Tower Ladder 23’s quarters as some work is being done at Engine 124’s house. Does anyone know more information on this and for how long this is supposed to last? When did Truck 38 move into Tower Ladder 23’s house and even though this is temporary have they revised Truck 38’s still district? A good part of Truck 38’s area can be covered by Trucks 13, 12, and 56 if Truck 38 is at Engine 108’s house.

Those are interesting night shots and I agree with Crabby that they are good shots of Engine 7 and seeing photos of Engine 7 in action and pumping are not that common.
