  A bit off subject but I saw a post from about a year ago on here about a new battery powered ems cart at engine 16. Does anyone have more info

  Yes, the 1996 seagrave engine 105 (yellow) will be replaced as the motor went bad on them. Check out the 2014 annual report posted on the St. Charles fire site.

  Are they replacing Engine 105 (the yellow one) or Engine 107? What station might be getting the new one?

  alsip has all seagraves rangeing from 02 to 2012
  grayslake 1 engine

  As Brian said expensive. Plus, there is such a thing as competition.
  I’m sure SEAGRAVE, PIERCE, E-ONE, SUTPHEN would love nothing better to be the only builders but that’s not reality.

  It looks like STC is phasing out their Seagraves. STC has had an almost exclusive Seagrave fleet for a very long time, why the switch? Is there something wrong with Seagraves? I can’t think of more than a couple of departments in Chicagoland that still have new or newer Seagraves. NYFD has switched to KME and Ferrara, LA use to have them, Honolulu did as well, along with Chicago and many more big cities. I guess my question is, is there something wrong with the quality?
