This from Steve Redick:

Monday, at 14th just east of Laramie. Extreme cold conditions as well as falling snow. A very large frame-dwelling with a good volume of fire on the 2nd floor when the companies arrived. Apparently this building has been remodeled several times over the years making for very difficult firefighting conditions as the fire had spread to concealed spaces and voids. I arrived just as they were attempting to complete vertical ventilation as the fire rapidly advanced in the attic space. Eventually three aerial pipes and several handlines were operated. This was a rough job under some tough conditions.
