This truck was bought by NBC and the producers of Chicago Fire. In the episode of the helicopter crash you could tell it was RETIRED E269 because of the steel plates around the headlights, ETC

I was at old Engine 20 last Saturday. In the yard I saw Ladders 81 and 66 along with Squad 3. I didn’t see Engine 51.

It would be cool to see a tower ladder.

i was told the tv show was to buy that truck so they could crash it

The goat and everything will remain on E274 and the only difference is that E274 has a lot of rust. Unless they put new doors on E274. Notice they took the doors of E269.

This truck E269 was truck 81. It’s broke down and old. It has nothing to do with the show. Last season and at least the first few episodes of season 3 is E274. On facebook “Chicago Fire Station 51 has leaked images of E274 where you can see the shop IDs.

Almost wish you could attach a bucket to it and make a TL, probably just as good as some of the ones they are running now

Sebastian, according to the new Chicago Fire TV Commercial the next Season starts Sept. 23 (I think).
If they get new Truck, I hope they keep the Goat 😉

According to the NBC website the series will return on Tuesday September 23rd. My guess is they are upgrading for the next season.
