Bridgeview house fire

Keith Grzadziel informs us of the following:

“Today at 04:00 hrs, the Bridgeview Fire Department was dispatched for the reported house fire on the 7400 block of Thomas Ave. Battalion 40 arrived on scene advising of moderate smoke showing from a split level single family home. As the inital crew was preparing to make entry, the kitchen flashed over shortly followed by the front room. The alarm was quickly escalated to a Full Still assignment. Two lines were used to extinguish the fire and the roof was opened up by Roberts Park Ladder 31. The residents were home at the time of the fire and escaped uninjured. Bridgeview Companies were also assisted by Bedford Park and Burbank.”

New use for old fire station

Hank Sajovic submitted an image of Addison’s former fire station #3 at 101 Swift Road. It is now the home of Faux design Studio which incorporates a school to teach faux painting in addition to having contractors to that provide faux painting and decorative painting services.
