July 9, 1962 is the date on the photo of the Zenith Restaurant. I believe this was at Belmont and Central. The other was a 5-11 at the bowling alley at 1542 W. Devon Avenue on August 5, 1961.

That’s an interesting shot of Snorkel 3 pouring water into the bowling alley at 1542 W Devon. Even though the original Snorkel 3 was best known as a “south side company”, they actually had begun life as a “north side company” however when Snorkels 4, 5 and 6 went in service (in mid 1961), Snorkel 5 had taken Snorkel 3’s place at Engine 35 and Snorkel 3 was relocated to the south side. In just about a month after this shot was taken, Snorkel 3 would be relocated south to Engine 50 and 6 months later to Engine 84. It seems as if they were having problems fitting the Snorkels into some of the stations on the south side.
