The Fox River & Countryside Fire/Rescue District provided the following information about their upcoming open house on Sunday, October 9, 2011.

The Fox River & Countryside Fire/Rescue Department (FRCFR) will be hosting The Remembrance Rescue Project (RRP) at our open house on Sunday, October
9th at fire station #1. Open house activities run from 9:00 a.m. until noon. As part of the event, FDNY Res4cue will be on display from 9:00 a.m. until
6:00 p.m. This is the Res4cue that responded to the World Trade Center attacks and lost all eight men that responded on it. The RRP, a not-for-profit organization created by firefighters, is using Res4cue to preserve awareness of the significance of 9/11 through the stories of FDNY Res4cue. The RRP also provides support for the children of fallen firefighters through it’s charitable fundraising efforts.

FRCFR station #1 is located at 40W361 Illinois Route 64 (just west of Burlington/LaFox Rds.) in Wasco, IL.
