Steve Redick was driving through Maywood yesterday afternoon when the fire department responded to a garage fire in the 500 block of N 7th Ave. Maywood and auto-aid companies made quick work of extinguishing a fire in the detached garage. Steve submitted several images of the scene and the rigs that responded.

Oak Park staffs and houses TL631 and it responds to River Forest on any fire and fire alarms at target occupancies (the two colleges, residentail hi-rises, etc.). River Forest also contributes funding for maintenance of the rig.
River Forest mans Truck 221 (former OPFD Seagrave) with a driver, and it responds to fires in town with a driver, and on mutual aid calls as requested. It also runs as a second out piece during a multiple call situation, and will meet the out of town ambulance, etc.
WESCOM was not part of the original combined truck purchase deal.

The deal was that Oak Park mans the tower and River Forest has the combined dispatch center.

Yeah but if the tower was co-purchased thru River Forest and Oak Park, why does River Forest go with that old rig and not with the tower

Yes it is. Was 631 a 1981 Seagrave. Replaced the 1956 American LaFrance Ladder. Has been upgraded since it was new.

Yes it is. Oak Park has the tower ladder that was co-purchased by both communities.

Is the ladder truck a former oak park truck?
