new apparatus for Elk Grove Township

The Elk Grove Township FPD has 2 apparatus updates in the works. First of all, they are rebuilding Squad 345 in-house by adding top compartments and an enclosure to the Fibre Body. The new unit will carry haz mat, trench rescue and water rescue equipment. They are almost done with the body prep so that it can be painted. Elk Grove Township will get rid of the old ambulance that is now technical rescue 347 when Squad 325 is completed.

The next addition to the Elk Grove Township fleet is Tanker 11, a 2000 gallon elliptical tanker by Midwest Fire out of Luverne, MN. The unit will be on a Freightliner Business Class chassis and will have a 500 gpm PTO pump. It will be in station 11 next week.

Elk Grove Township should be added to the Division 1 page soon, as the apparatus and station have been recently photographed.
